Admissions

Welcome to the gateway of Bilingualism

The Lycée International de Houston (LIH) is an inclusive coeducational, preparatory, private school with a French-English bilingual program as its main track. We welcome children from La Crèche at 18 months to 12th Grade who graduate with a minimum of two diplomas leading to greater opportunities for universities worldwide. The Excellence of our entirely bilingual program, the Rigor of the curriculum as well as the Kindness of faculty and staff are at the foundation of LIH’s mission.

As you explore our school as a potential match for your child and your family, the admissions team is here to guide you and answer any questions you may have. Our la Crèche (18 months) to High School (12th grade) programs provide opportunities for students learn through two languages and acquire the different thought processes unique to each language. As a result, they develop different ways to think, to process concepts, and to approach problems. LIH students also grow up within the context of our international community and develop a deep understanding and respect for other cultures. Their bilingual and bicultural experiences make them naturally open to new perspectives and ideas.

The LIH team and I are ready to guide you through the entire admissions process and well beyond. I warmly encourage you to contact us if you have any questions or need additional information, we will be happy to oblige.

The best way to learn more about our school is to visit and experience learning in action. We invite you to tour our lively campus where you can visit the facilities, peek inside the classroom at all grade levels, and learn more about our program. You might also be interested in attending an Open House where you can gain an inside look at our bilingual program and get to know teachers and administration.
The admissions team is available to assist you throughout the admission process. Please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to getting to know your family.

In the case of children who live in the Houston area, or those visiting the area, an evaluation to determine placement is also customary.
